The Fort

Today my two middle sons, ages 10 and 3, decided to build a fort in the living room.

The older of the two did most of the work, but they both enjoyed playing in it once it was completed.

I thought they were quite creative in their use of household items from all over the house as building materials. They even had a back door as shown in the two photos below.

The little dog, Roxy, was well taken care of in the fort as well. She had her own little corner where she could sleep and eat. The fort provided a good hour or so of play time before it had to be dismantled for lunch--we needed the dining room chairs back! I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Oh what lovely fun, my sister and I used to make forts when we were little, it is so nice to know that kids still do that.
Terri I hope you and your family have a lovely and safe July 4th.

Happy 4th Fisher family!! My two are with their cousins right now but I hear that they've been making forts all day too! It's the classic rainy day entertainment for them :)
