Product Review - Teddy Grahams Trail Mix

As I've mentioned before, I am a Bzz Agent. You can find out more about what that entails here. I just recently received my first invitation to a Bzzcampaign which means that I was invited to try out a product and review it. When I heard what the product was, I couldn't refuse...Teddy Grahams Trail Mix! A few days after accepting the invitation, I was sent two boxes of Nabisco's Teddy Grahams Trail Mix in the mail. There is what I would call a sweet variety (Bears & Bees) and a savory/salty variety (Bears & Cheese), and I received a box of each. It was hard to convince my kids to hold off on opening the boxes right away, but I got them to wait until I had a moment to actually let them try the snack and give me some feedback. All I can say is that this new, healthy snack was a hit! We already really like the regular Teddy Grahams, but this trail mix has added in a variety of textures and flavors that are sure to please even the most discerning palette. My three year old loved the yogurt covered raisins in the sweet variety as much as the little cookies! And he never realized that what he was eating was actually good for him! It's also a great snack for little ones because of it's size...perfect for little hands to pick up and eat. My older sons enjoyed the mix as well, commenting on how tasty it was. I intend to test this new snack on a few of my friend's kids over the weekend...if there's any left by then! If you have kids, or just want to try a low-fat (only 3.5 grams of saturated fat per serving!), healthier snack yourself, check for this new product in your local grocery store. Also, if you have preschoolers in your life, check out the companion Scholastic website here for all kinds of educational fun and games. Let me know if you like it!

Thanks for the great review on the new Teddy Grahams Trail Mix, as old as I am I still love Teddy Grahams!
Glad you liked the froggy pic, I often wonder what I am going to find in the winter to take photo's of, I think it may be a bit more difficult.
Have a great weekend Terri

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but these aren't really healthy... they have high fructose corn syrup in them (the sweetener that your body can't digest so it stores it) and all the hydrogenated oils. Food companies are really good at making something sound healthy (some saturated fats are good for you and help you to lose weight). I'm going to send you a book in the mail!!

My astute friend Beth is correct--this product does still contain some of the unhealthier ingredients, such as high fructose corn syrup (about halfway down the list of ingredients) that most processed foods contain, as it is still a processed food snack. It's a healthier alternative as packaged snack foods go, but not a whole food by any means!

My kids ate plenty of Teddy Grahams too!! I didn't mean to sound so negative! But I'm trying to be better about recognizing those things. I did order you the book I read which is quite an eye opener... at least for me!!
